DIEGO DISAPPOINTED

After going 3-0 down, Uruguay brought on Forlan at half-time and he bagged
a terrific right-footed volley on 69 minutes after a free-kick had been headed
out to him.
Forlan later missed a good chance to score a second but put that to the back
of his mond to concentrate on Marales's miss late on which could have seen
the South Americans through to the next phase:
"I just can't talk about Richard Morales's last-minute chance. I bet even he
can't explain how he missed it," said Forlan. "We leave the World Cup with a
bitter-sweet taste, which is understandable after making such an effort that
proved not to be enough."
"We left a good impression at the end but I would have liked to have
been in the second round. The worst thing now is that we will have
to wait for another four years."
