* Blackburn have apparently made it clear that they will sell Damien Duff this summer if their asking price of £15m is met. The Times says that Liverpool and Manchester United have been given the ‘green light’ to enter a bidding war for the Irish international winger.

A quote from Souness: "We have had no offers for Damien and we don't want any offers for him, but if someone came in and offered us ridiculous money then we'd have to be realistic about it.

"On top of that, if the boy wanted to go it would be very difficult to hold onto him.

"At the end of last season there were people sniffing around him, namely Manchester United and Liverpool, and I think each of them was worried about who was going to take him at the time.

"But we made it very plain that they'd have to pay a lot of money for him and nothing has changed since."

* United have apparently begun negotiations with Paris St Germain to sign Brazilian World Cup winner Ronaldinho – and he is super-keen to join up with us according to the Daily Star. The buck-toothed from Brazil would cost £20 million.

* Aruna Dindane (Anderlecht) and Deportivo’s Alberto Lukue are ‘thought’ to be wanted by the powers that be at O.T.
