Edinson Cavani has been left out of the Manchester United squad for the derby against City on Saturday, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirming the striker picked up an injury in midweek.
Cavani started and scored in the 3-0 win over Tottenham last weekend and was expected to keep his spot in Solskjaer's new 3-5-2 setup for the clash at Old Trafford.
However, the boss confirmed ahead of the game that the 34-year-old picked up a problem following the 2-2 draw with Atalanta in midweek that will keep him out of this one.
"We've had a couple of issues since Italy. Edi has been one of them," Solskjaer revealed.
Marcus Rashford is fit enough for a spot on the bench, with Solskjaer continuing: "Marcus was only cleared this morning. He's had a problem as well but luckily he can be on the bench and hopefully, if he needs to, he can come on."
At the back, Victor Lindelof is a surprise inclusion. The Swede was not spotted travelling with the squad for Saturday's game after missing the Atalanta draw through injury, but Solskjaer insisted he was always likely to play.
"I always felt he was going to make it," the boss insisted. "You're never sure. Very pleased to have him back."
Solskjaer has gone with three changes to the side that drew in Italy. Mason Greenwood comes in for Cavani and Lindelof replaces the injured Raphael Varane, while Fred takes the place of the suspended Paul Pogba in midfield.
