EDU AND KLEBERSON - TALES FROM THE TABS

This from The People:

Edu will turn his back on Arsenal and join the Manchester United gravy train - where he will more than double his money to £60,000 a week.

As first reported in The SP on September 24th, Edu is keen on joining Sir Alex Ferguson's side after his representatives were told he would be welcomed with open arms at Old Trafford.

But instead of teaming up with his fellow Brazilian Kleberson, Edu is likely to pass him on the way in to United's training complex at Carrington.

Fergie is keen to recruit 26 year-old Edu but he knows he must offload at least one big money buy before chief executive David Gill will sanction any more imports into the club.

That's likely to be World Cup winner Kleberson, who has flopped since arriving 18 months ago and is likely to head for Spain. Sources close to Edu confirmed last night that he has already decided to quit Arsenal and make a fresh start elsewhere. Barcelona and Real Madrid are also interested.

Edu in the Daily Mail:

"It doesn't make me worried to play in England for another club.

"If I see that it will be important for my future as a footballer, then I'm going.

"Barcelona is a fantastic club. If you ask me about Madrid and Valencia and Manchester they are all fantastic clubs.

"When the moment comes I have to be careful to make the right decision."
