Europa League draw LIVE: Man Utd & Juventus to discover quarter-final opponents

The unpredictability of the Europa League was in full force on Thursday night as the continent's secondary club competition approaches crunch time.

Premier League leaders Arsenal couldn't find a way past Sporting CP, the tie ending 3-3 on aggregate before the Portuguese side triumphed on penalties at the Emirates Stadium.

That has opened the door for Manchester United, who last won the Europa League in 2017, as well as Italian sides Juventus and Roma.

When is the draw?

The draws for the 2022/23 Europa League quarter finals, semi finals and final will take place from 12:00 GMT on Friday 17 March from the the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland. It will begin after the Champions League draw.

The four quarter-final draws are made and then the semi-final draw begins, where those four QF ties will be paired together for matches in the final four. The two winners then face off in the final at Budapest's Puskas Arena.

The following teams will be included in the draws after winning their last 16 ties.

  • Juventus (Italy)
  • Roma (Italy)
  • Sporting CP (Portugal)
  • Feyenoord (The Netherlands)
  • Manchester United (England)
  • Sevilla (Spain)
  • Union Saint-Gilloise (Belgium)

Two Italian giants in Juventus and Roma remain in the competition, while only Manchester United from England remain following Arsenal's exit. Their conquerors, Sporting CP, will discover their next opponents, while La Liga strugglers Sevilla are also in the draw.
