Sheringham’s agent, Barry Neville, has been quoted as
saying:

“Sporting have made an enquiry and we're now waiting to hear
from them again now,

“But we'll wait and see and consider any options. We've not
heard anything more from Spurs but we'll probably sit down
them and discuss the future.”
