EXPERIENCE AND HUNGER

From FA Premier:

"There are two things about that. There seems to be a relish about playing in Europe and the second thing is our experience we have gathered over the years is now helping us," Ferguson said.

"Certainly we have scored a lot. Two in Leverkusen, five against the Hungarians, four against Olympiakos and five against Maccabi Haifa, which is not bad. Our form in Europe has been great and one thing I would be able to do if we can get through this week is give two or three other players a game."

Ringing the changes.

"If we can get a result on Wednesday, we will be able to make changes for the game in Nicosia and also against Leverkusen at home, albeit we want to make sure we finish top of the group. The likes of Ricardo would play and one or two of the younger ones. Michael Stewart is injured at the moment but Quinton Fortune is one who would play. O'Shea will keep on playing because the experience is good for him and Diego Forlan needs to get more games."
