FERGIE – FORGET ABOUT LAST SEASON

Sir Alex Ferguson on MUTV:

“Last season was great for this club. The run from December
onwards was absolutely fantastic. I think we deserved the
championship purely on our own form. But that counts for
nothing now. Yesterday is yesterday and tomorrow is very
important.

“They (Arsenal) have a lot of experience and I will not deny
that. For the last decade the championship has really been a
battle between ourselves and Arsenal and they have every
chance this year like four other teams.

"It could be a very competitive league this year. We keep
saying that but it never materialises. I'm talking about
five teams going for it at the end of the season but that
never happens, it goes to two.

"We say this is one of the best leagues in the world and I
think it is, but it's always nice to have that competitive
thing rather than just two teams all the time."
