FERGIE AND RUUD UP FOR AWARDS

Both are on the shortlists for the respective awards. Fergie
faces competition from Glenn Roeder and Gerrard Houllier.

"It's been a big month for the three managers nominated,"
said the Barclaycard Awards Panel

"Roeder has impressively turned things around at West Ham,
Ferguson continues to apply the pressure on league leaders
Arsenal and Houllier's side are chasing a Champions League
spot."

Either Ruud, Juninho, Jermain Defoe or Steven Gerrard will
win the player of the month award.
