“Gary Neville didn't train last night because he was feeling
a hamstring and it wouldn't have been wise to play him this
evening. Ruud hurt his back in training and while he could
have played, there was no point risking him.
"Irrespective of the result tonight, everything would still
have hinged on whether we beat Stuttgart in our last game.
If we win, we will win the section so I wasn't prepared to
risk anyone with an injury tonight."
