FERGIE DISAPPOINTED BUT TAKES SOLACE IN ‘YOUNG TEAM'

Sir Alex Ferguson, "It's a young team. I think it's developing. I think we'll be better next year. I think we're disappointed not winning the league as it's very important to Manchester United and we're very disappointed not to have done better in the European Cup."

Does Fergie mean the team is young in that the players haven’t been together for long? Or in their ages? Presumably the latter judging by recent comments. But do the facts back him up?
