FERGIE LOOKING FORWARD TO SATURDAY

Fergie on Newcastle’s title bid:

"They're not out of it, but losing last Sunday's match has
made it more difficult for them. Their run-in for the last
three games are against low teams, two of whom could be
relegated by then. But going to St James' Park we don't need
to trumpet their cause too much other than to say their home
form is terrific. They've got good support - the atmosphere
is terrific and it should be a great game of football.

"The players are very aware of the stakes tomorrow, as they
were on Tuesday. It won't do us any harm! The important
thing is to win our game and we'll take it from there. It's
onto the Arsenal match after that, which could be the
biggest game of the season."

There is only one injury doubt, Beckham may not be fit in
time to play:

"We have the one doubt - we'll see what he's like tomorrow
and that's David Beckham. He's got a slight strain in his
hamstring and coming off the game on Tuesday he needs time
to recover."
