"We are certainly not going there thinking they are falling apart even if they don't have stars like Ballack and Ze Roberto any more.

"We are expecting a very difficult game.

"Losing players of that calibre is a big loss and you struggle to get the consistency of results.

"It's the same with us having the likes of Paul Scholes, Gary Neville and Roy Keane not right.

"It takes some substance out of the team.

"They have just suffered a big defeat in Europe and before that they lost 3-1 at home to Hanover in the League but I believe it will still be tough.

"Having said that I think last year we were unlucky.

"We didn't play magnificently but we created chances over there and I'm sure we will again.

"It was a definitely a big blow going out on the away goals rule last season.

"But I honestly believe if Beckham, Keane and Gary Neville had been fit for the first game at Old Trafford then we would have reached the final again instead of them."
