"Any 18-year-old has to be directed about his game in order to help
him reach the highest level. Sporting Lisbon encouraged his
tricks but the important thing to remember is to only do it
when you need to do it.
"He was fantastic last week against Manchester City in terms of him
wanting to take the ball and it doesn't matter how many
times he gets tackled or kicked, he just gets up and gets on
with it and wants the ball the next minute.
"For an 18-year-old it has certainly been encouraging to see him.
He is learning and he is intelligent and there is good pride
in the boy."
