Ferguson - We were the dominant side

Celebration time for Ruud
A late penalty strike from Ruud Van Nistelrooy saw United draw 1-1 with Nantes and remain on top of their Champions League group.

"We made a lot of chances, but their goalkeeper was fantastic, I must say. We seem to come up against these lads!" Ferguson said after the game.

"I think their goal was a bit lucky, it got a couple of deflections. We gave the ball away in their half, which was the bigger error and there was a catalogue of miscues with the ball going across the goalmouth. I thought they got a bit lucky.

"We were the dominant team in terms of trying to win the game. They played counter-attack most of the time once they'd scored and it was a bad goal for us to lose in the sense of the timing. It's hard enough playing away from home at the best of times."

"We're pleased to get the point because it looked like we weren't going to get one.

"Their goalkeeper put in a great performance and sometimes you have to accept that that happens and it's not going to be."
