FERGUSON HAPPY FOR SCHOLES BREAK

Ferguson believes Paul Scholes' red card against Liverpool and his retirement from international football will help United in the run-in

"Paul regards family life as very important.

"He knows the travelling with the international team is tremendous and coming to his age, I think he felt it was time to give more time to his family. That is the reason he gave up international football.

"His form this season has been absolutely fantastic and now we are getting him back fresh after a little break."

Louis Saha and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are also expected to return on Saturday.

Ferguson has also said he has no plans to retire soon:

"I'm not in control of who succeeds me and there are many people who'd want my job, but I've got a few years left yet."
