Ferguson Not Sure Of Starting Line-Up

The 19-year-old summer signing from Blackburn Rovers has more than impressed with his performances since arriving at Old Trafford, now he will get the chance to show what he can do at a higher level.

Jones will return to the centre of defence alongside Jonny Evans after being moved to right-back to accommodate Ferdinand who will play no part in tonight’s game to be ready for the clash on Sunday with Chelsea.

Nemanja Vidic is still missing with a calf injury so Chris Smalling could come back into the reckoning against the Portuguese giants.

Boss Sir Alex Ferguson revealed that he is planning to bring some experienced heads into the starting eleven, but he is giving nothing away just yet.

"I have not picked my team yet," he said.

"We are coming into a period where we have the Benfica game, then Chelsea on Sunday, Leeds United on Tuesday, then Stoke away on the following Saturday. Obviously the squad will be used but first of all we are giving a lot of consideration to Benfica.

"I have not decided [who will play]. I have a few things to think about. But it wouldn't worry me at all to play the [same] team that is doing well."
