FERGUSON'S PLEDGE

`There will be three or four changes from Saturday but no more,' Ferguson told MUTV.

`It will be a mixture of first-team and reserves but I intend it to be a strong side and we will have a go at it.

`We have been unlucky to be drawn away from home against the likes of Sunderland, Aston Villa and Arsenal in recent years, which would be tough games at the best of times. We could have played a full reserve team but I am viewing things slightly differently. We owe it to the sponsors to do our best.'

It's four years since Old Trafford last hosted a League Cup tie, Solskjaer grabbing a double as Nottingham Forest were beaten 2-1 in front of 37,000 before a fifth round exit at Tottenham.

``Leicester are a big club with great tradition and it is not nice to see them in financial difficulties.'' Added Ferguson. ``But they are doing well at the moment and will have a big support with them, which should create a good atmosphere. They will come to Old Trafford thinking they have a chance but we want to reach the next round.''

"We want to progress to the next stage at least."
