The FIFA website reports that a meeting took place in
Switzerland last Friday between FIFA and G-14. Peter Kenyon
was in attendance along with representatives from Bayern
Munich, Real Madrid, Juventus and others.

A coordinated international match calendar, which was agreed
upon for the 2004-2008 season by the FIFA Executive
Committee on 7 March, received unanimous approval.

The clubs also showed their concerns that the number of
international fixtures are reduced and praised the efforts
that FIFA have made to reduce this burden.

FIFA also urged the clubs to re-think their position on the
Club World Championship, the brainchild of Sepp Blatter, as
they believe it to have great value to public and clubs.

FIFA are also looking into the potential for financial
compensation for clubs when their players are on
international duty.
