Rio Ferdinand speaks about the team picking themselves up again after defeat against Real.

"A lot of people expected us to roll over and give up after that game.

"People were saying we were going out of Europe and that our title challenge would fall apart as well. There has also been a lot of talk about whether Ryan Giggs and David Beckham will be staying or going, which is water off a duck's back to them. They've heard it for years.

"But you got the impression people thought Manchester United were finished, never to be the same again.

"We all knew it was rubbish and what we did at Newcastle showed we have a lot more about us than that. And remember, we were a goal down in that one.

"We know our capabilities. Madrid was disappointing and we didn't do ourselves justice but that didn't make us a bad side all of a sudden.

Back on top.

"I also feel football supporters in general are more confident about us.

"Whenever we have hit a sticky patch, we've always come back. We know how to do it and recovering is all part of being a strong team.

"The Arsenal game is huge and all the country is talking about it.

"It is the kind of game you want to be involved in and the reason I signed for this great club.
