FLETCH ON THE COMEBACK TRAIL

Darren Fletcher, "It's getting there. All the running is fine; it's just kicking the ball that's a problem at the moment. That's something I'm looking to build on in the next couple of weeks, so hopefully it won't be too much longer before I'm back playing.

"The injury responded really well at first. But, I was given a 6-8 week time schedule and it looks like that's how long it will take. I rested for two weeks after the injury, but since then I've been doing plenty of running. You have to put weight through the injury to help it recover. As long as it is straight-line movements and not a lot of twisting and turning. My fitness has been picking up, it's just this final hurdle of getting back into games and controlling and kicking a ball.

"It's frustrating. There's never a good time to get an injury, but my injury was particularly bad, especially having missed some important games during the crucial push in the season."
