Fletcher Fit For Pompey Clash

The Scotland international midfielder was one of a several players who were forced to sit out the FA Cup semi-final against Everton at Wembley on Sunday because of injury but manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Fletcher is available for selection for the Pompey game at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

"We left quite a few players back in Manchester and they'll all be ready for Wednesday," Ferguson told MUTV.

"Darren Fletcher will be fit, for example, but maybe Michael Carrick is the one we'll have to assess a bit more, he could be a close call."
