FLETCHER MAY START FOR SCOTLAND

"He is the future," insisted the under-21s coach without
hesitation. "Everything's going well. There are no injuries
or sickness, so in the next couple of years he is going to
be one of the players who can bring Scottish football
through.

"He is still young - but he's in the best hands. He's more
or less got a second father in (United boss) Sir Alex
Ferguson. He supports him and brought him to Manchester
United and is now giving him the chance step by step.

"You cannot bring a young lad into the team full of big
stars without letting him grow in the team, and this is what
Alex is doing with him."
