‘A murder hunt was launched yesterday after a young soccer fan was bludgeoned in a pub used by rival supporters.
Seventeen-year-old Nottingham Forest supporter Nathan Shaw was whacked over the head with a bottle. He was attacked in Yates’s bar in the centre of Burnley, where promotion-chasing Forest were playing on Saturday.
Nathan was rushed to Royal Preston Hospital minutes after the incident.
He was treated in the hospital’s specialist Head Injury Unit, but died yesterday morning.’
