Former England footballer Francis Lee was arrested following an argument with a police officer, it was revealed today.
It is understood a row broke out after Lee's wife was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
Gill Lee, 54, was stopped and breathalysed as she drove home along Manchester Road in Wilmslow, Cheshire, in the early hours of the morning.
Mr Lee, 61, argued with police and was taken into custody along with his wife and a 15-year-old boy.
A spokesman for Cheshire Constabulary said: "A 54-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
"She was released on police bail to return pending further inquiries.
"A 61-year-old man was arrested for a section five public order offence and received an adult caution.
"A 15-year-old boy was arrested and received a youth reprimand."
