Foster Looking For Place Back

The United keeper is having a job to fathom out why he is down to third choice at United and yet is still being picked for England’s games.

A finger injury to the Dutch wizard Edwin van der Sar meant that Foster started the season as the number one choice for Sir, and although he did pretty well, there was no way Sir was going to put up with the couple of high profile mistakes that the keeper managed to produce.

"It is very disheartening not even be on the bench at United," he said.

You can half understand his frustration, he gets into the England side yet the only United first team appearance he has made of late was in the Carling Cup against Barnsley.

"It's a weird one," he added.

"I am third choice for Manchester United at the moment yet I am playing for my country.

"Edwin is one of the best keepers in the world. I can't really go knocking on the manager's door and say he is not doing his job because he is."
