GARY NEVILLE, BEDS AND ARGENTINA

Gary Neville has spoken about his anguish of missing the World Cup and coming back from injury. He shares Seba's view on what was the worst part of the Competition in Japan and Korea.

"I had the operation on the Thursday and on the Friday England played Argentina.

"I had to watch that game lying in my hospital bed and seeing the lads celebrate after the game really hit me.

"That was definitely the lowest point. When something is taken away from you like that, when it is out of your control, it is so hard. You always want to be in control."

It just kept getting worse and worse for Gary. He continues

"When it first happened it wasn't a big problem.

"Yes, it was a massive disappointment — first missing the Champions' League semi-final second leg because I felt we had a great chance of winning last year.

"And then the massive setback of missing the World Cup.

"The biggest blow was actually seven to eight weeks into the injury when I thought I was only a month away from recovery and then having to have the operation."

"I don't want to be negative about that but at this moment I honestly think England is a million miles away."
