GEORDIES SOUND OFF

Newcastle have not beaten United at Old Trafford for 31
years, Alan Shearer said: "Football can be a crazy game. We
have two wins out of two and two clean sheets which isn't
bad. Against Leeds the only thing we didn't get was that
second goal but it was a decent performance.

"We missed some chances, Kieron Dyer had a couple and I had
one and it gave Leeds half a chance because it was only 1-0.
But we can go into the United fixture on a big high."

Sir Bobby Robson had this confusing opinion on Dyer:

"He found that football is chalk and cheese. He played well
but couldn't score. Who knows if it will be chalk or cheese
against Manchester?"

Newcastle defender Olivier Bernard is confident that
Jonathan Woodgate and Titus Bramble can keep Ruud van
Nistelrooy quiet.

"Van Nistelrooy has got so much movement but I think Woody
and Titus can handle that," he said.
