GERRARD ACCEPTING DIRTY MONEY?

Frustrated England star Steven Gerrard will sign for Premiership leaders Chelsea this summer in the biggest deal in British football history.

The midfielder will agree to a £30 million move from Liverpool. And with wages of around £120,000 a week - double his salary at Anfield - the long-anticipated move will top the deals that took Rio Ferdinand and, more recently, Wayne Rooney to Manchester United.

The switch will also send shockwaves through a Premiership already pondering just how to counter a Chelsea revolution financed by multi-billionaire Roman Abramovich and brilliantly orchestrated by manager Jose Mourinho.
