"I've been taking it step by step with Steven from the end of the season. He was very down, he didn't think that fourth was an achievement," Parry told the Liverpool Daily Post.

I hope this appointment swings it for him - under no circumstances do we want to lose him. But you cannot force anyone to stay against their wishes. Sounds like he will definitely be moving on then.
