GET STUCK IN

Robson declared:

“I feel Alex took a gamble last summer. He allowed David Beckham, Juan Veron and Fabien Barthez to go and brought in younger lads. They were players unproven at the very top level. Now they have to make sure they prove themselves next season.”

“The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Eric Djemba-Djemba, Louis Saha, Kleberson and Tim Howard will have to stand up and be counted.”

Robson’s big fear is that if Roy Keane decides to call it a day at the end of the season there will be nobody left to drive the team on.

He added:
“When Roy is not in the side, there is nobody out there who is as demanding.”

“They will have to think about replacing Roy at some stage and, right now, I can’t see anyone in the squad who could provide what he does. There really should be a bit more drive from some of the other United players.”
