Giggs Awarded Honorary Degree

The 34-year-old United winger has been given the award for his contribution to sport and charitable causes.

"I'm really pleased to accept this degree," Giggs said after receiving the award at The Lowry Museum in Salford.

"I grew up in Salford and it's been a big part of my life for 30 years, so it's great to be a part of Salford University now."
