GIGGS HAPPY WITH LIFE

"I've been really pleased with my form. I had a good pre-season, which is always vital, and I seem to have just got off to a flying start.

"Consistency-wise I think I'm in the best form of my life and I'm really enjoying it, perhaps more than ever.

"I didn't think I'd be playing as many games this season but Park Ji-Sung got injured and I've been forced to play every week, really.

"I'm sure throughout the season I'll be rested on several occasions - I want to play every game but as you get older you simply can't. You just want to be as fresh and effective as possible when you do play.

"It's a good mixture of experience and youth - it's exciting to be involved in at the moment.

"I think everyone was geared up to get off to a good start after the bad ones we've had in the previous couple of seasons.

"We've ended up playing catch-up with Chelsea and the leads they have had have been too big. But we ended last season strongly, we've picked up from there and carried on where we left off.

"We've had to, really - Chelsea's consistency level means that they don't lose many games and normally when we'd perhaps win the first five or six games, we'd be winning just two or three. Now we've just got to carry it on."
