GIGGS IS READY

"I felt the injury against Birmingham," Giggs told MUTV. "Being substitute against City and Everton has given me a chance to mix training with a bit of rest. Training has gone okay. I have a full week behind me now, so hopefully everything will be fine for Wednesday.

"We have played in some massive games down the years but there are none bigger than AC Milan. They have huge strength in depth. You tend to forget the number of quality players they have in their squad. To have any chance of beating them, we will have to show the same kind of form we have been producing in our other games recently.

"This is the sort of challenge all players want. We all enjoy playing in the Premiership and the FA Cup but in the Champions League you are pitting yourself against the cream of Europe.

"When you look at the history and players they have had, and the whole structure of the club, they are very similar to us. It is two great teams meeting and we are all really looking forward to it."
