‘The Football Association of Wales have written to all clubs who have players in the Wales squad, informing them that they will invoke the FIFA rule which insists that countries have the right to their players for four days ahead of games.
However a problem has arisen because several games in the weekend before the game in Baku have been brought forward to the Sunday because clubs are involved in UEFA Cup ties.
Wales are due to fly to Baku on Monday, Nov 18, a day after Premiership games between Blackburn against Everton, Leeds versus Bolton, Birmingham against Fulham and West Ham at home to Manchester United. In addition Celtic have a game on the Sunday.’
