The United winger was convinced that referee Rob Styles had made a mistake in not awarding a spot kick when Christiano Ronaldo appeared to be upended by Fulham keeper Antti Niemi during the 2-0 win at Old Trafford. "It was hard for the referee because it happened so quickly, but because Ronnie was running so fast the ref had to make a split-second decision. I think because there was no contact, he didn't give a penalty, but Ronnie tried to avoid the keeper.
"But Niemi tried to stop Ronnie and his arm has followed his leg, so everyone thought it was a penalty. I think when the ref sees it again he'll realise he made a mistake."
