Ryan Giggs has named Japp Stam in his UEFA team of the year
nominations, saying, “My old United team-mate is still one
of the best in the business. Lazio aren't quite as strong as
they were a few years ago but in Jaap they have a superb
defender."

There is also no place for Beckham, with Figo being given
the right midfield position.
