The Welsh international, known on and off the pitch as a serial scorer, was said to be "delighted" at the news he will become a dad.
In a joint statement the 29-year-old winger and his partner Stacey Cooke, 24, said they "cannot wait" for the birth of their baby in May.
The couple have known each other for 10 years and have been dating for 12 months.
