GIGGS WILL BOUNCE BACK

Last updated : 18 February 2003 By Editor
It is certainly not the worst miss I have ever seen.

It is part of being a striker - chances are going to be missed - and Giggs was
just unlucky that his miss came at such a crucial stage of the biggest game of
the weekend.

Ryan has been getting a bit of stick from the United fans this season and this
is obviously not going to help, but I don't think his confidence will be too
shaken by just one bad miss. He is a very experienced campaigner and has
won every major honour in the game with Manchester United, so one incident
will not be that significant.

In fact I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Ryan bounce back in style.

He could well score the winner at Highbury later in the season when
Manchester United play Arsenal in the Premiership. Suddenly his miss would
be history and he would be a hero once again. That's the way football works.
