GIGGSY'S SWIPE AT BLATTER

Ryan Giggs has taken a swipe at FIFA boss Sepp Blatter over the decision to allow Russia to play in Euro 2004 despite them fielding a player who later tested positive for drugs. Giggs feels aggrieved to have his season affected twice by drug tests.

"The two cases have been treated completely differently, yet one team is more guilty than the other," Giggs told MUTV.

"As soon as it involves a Manchester United player you get people like Sepp Blatter coming out with statements. Yet I have not heard him say anything about the Russian.

"That is what we have to put up with. Manchester United players are headline news.

"We really thought we had a good case but the way it has been handled by the authorities it seemed as though they had already made the decision that Russia were going to go."
