Glazer and his boys are said to be so fearful of the reception that they would receive that they may never set foot inside Old Trafford and that any meetings with the likes of David Gill or Alex Ferguson will take place overseas.

‘Sir Alex Ferguson and Malcolm Glazer are finally set to go head to head ... on the other side of the world,’ writes Steve Bates in The People. ‘Any possibility of Glazer showing his face in Manchester is a non-starter in the midst of the continuing hate campaign against the American tycoon. But Fergie could meet his new boss on Manchester United's pre-season tour of the Far East. The United manager is desperate to know their intentions - and find out how they will affect his team planning. Japan is now seen as the likeliest setting for any meeting with the Glazers.’

And fans aren’t the only ones worried what the future holds for United, staff at Old Trafford are growing restless too. Everyone is nervously waiting to hear what plans the Glazer family has for the club. Meanwhile the media continuing to speculate that there will be a shake up of senior management with Glazer pinning his hopes on David Gill staying around to oversee the changes.
