GLAZER'S LEGAL THREAT

'The Manchester United board are facing possible legal action should they not put Malcolm Glazer's revised £800 million takeover offer to all the shareholders.

The Daily Telegraph understands that on Friday several members of the United board met Joel Glazer, son of Malcolm, whose bid would give shareholders 300p per share.

One investor told me: "If it is a fair price and the Glazers do not want to change the business then we as shareholders have the right to consider what he has to offer."

Some of these investors are believed to have taken legal advice and could take the board to court should they reject Glazer out of hand.'
