GOAL SENSATION

The second part of this thrilling interview with Ruud from the official site.

Now that defenders know a little more about you have you found it harder this season?

They're not doing anything differently this year than they did last year, I don't think. They don't seem to be adjusting their game to me. They're just playing the same way and defences are just more organised.

What did you make of Sam Allardyce's comments that defenders have "found you out"?

That was a comment from him, but for me it didn't make sense. I just want to play on my feeling, intuition. That way you don't know what's going to happen.

How would you assess your form this season?

I want to improve all the time. I'd like to think I've taken my form from last season into this season, but I still want to be a better player. That's what I'm working on every day, it's just a matter of hard work and practice to keep things going. This season, the start was OK but I want to continue to improve.

What areas would you like to improve?

Just my general game. As a striker you have to do certain things for the team – holding the ball up, making runs. And of course the finishing! I'd like to be a complete striker and if I'm to get there I'll have to improve.

How have you settled in Manchester? What do you like about the city and its people?

It's very nice. It was a bit harder to go into the city centre after the defeat to Manchester City! But in general I've settled well. I didn't have any troubles coming here and adjusting to the culture. I spoke the language already, so that was a good start. And my opinion is that if you go abroad to live somewhere you have to live how people there live. That's what I've done.
