Manchester United's Portuguese teen striker Cristiano Ronaldo has offered to bring a seven-year-old Indonesian boy who survived alone for three weeks after the Indian Ocean tsunami to England to watch the Red Devils in action.

"When things are more calm it will be my pleasure to invite him to spend a few days with me, either at my house or at a hotel, so that he can attend a match," he told SIC television on Sunday.

The child, named Martunis, was spotted over the weekend by a British television crew wearing a Portuguese national team football jersey on a Banda Aceh beach and was subsequently reunited with this grandfather and then his father.

Doctors said the boy, who is thought to have survived by drinking puddle water and eating dried noodles, was expected to make a full recovery.
"This really got to me, after seeing the images I was really touched," the player said.
