HAPPY TREBLE DAY

Last updated : 26 May 2004 By Editor
Today is the 5th anniversary of the greatest achievement by a football team at the top level of British football. Arsenal can boast all they want about being indomitable but, whilst their achievement of going through a league campaign unbeaten is to be admired, their 6 defeats and mere one trophy this season suggest they are not quite as good as they think they are. In comparison United lost only four times on the way to the Treble.

Only the achievements of little Nottingham Forest winning back-to-back European Cups and Celtic triumphing in Lisbon with a team of Glaswegians can compare with United’s Treble. Celebrate it in style.

Wednesday 26th May 2004 is the 5th anniversary of the completion of The Treble. To mark the achievement Shareholders United is holding a social event at Old Trafford. The event is for SU members but non-members are welcome to come along and join on the night.
