‘Four football hooligans have been given life bans by Bolton Wanderers - the first in the club's history. The fans were given the maximum five-year banning orders by magistrates after they pleaded guilty to affray last month. But now the club has gone further and has said they will bar any fan for life who is given a banning order by magistrates. The four, Shane Durham, aged 34, of Dougill Street, Bolton; Graham Knowles, 29, of Northern Grove, Heaton; Russell Brooks, 35, of Rusland Drive, Harwood and Stephen Barrow, 32, of Dilloway Street, St Helens, were part of a gang who smashed up a bar packed with Manchester United fans when the teams played at Bolton on January 29.’
