FA Youth Cup: Fourth Round: Manchester United 2, Manchester City 0
United battled the pouring Manchester rain to continue their defence of the FA Youth Cup crown with an impressive 2-0 win over Manchester City at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

Brian McClair's young charges beat a strong City side, the team widely tipped to win this season's competition, to book a place in the fifth round of the competition - a step closer to a tenth Youth Cup title.

16-year-old Lee Martin, recently signed from Wimbledon, and Youth Team captain Paul McShane were outstanding for United.

Lee Martin impressed for United early on with plenty of running and good passing. It was his incisive ball forward that found Blake on the right side of the penalty area. Blake chipped the ball over the advancing Schmeichel for Ramon Calliste to tap home on 21 minutes.

Lee Martin continued to impress after the break with surging runs forward. Unfortunately for the 5,547-strong crowd, the impressive 16-year-old was forced off with cramp after 75 minutes - an indication perhaps of just how energetic his performance was in midfield for the Reds.

Reds substitute Callum Flanagan sealed the win with a little over ten minutes remaining when he ran through on goal and capitalised on a mix-up between Nathan D'Laryea and Kasper Schmeichel to nod past the City keeper and send United through.
