United's statement reads:
Manchester United confirmed today that Paddy Harverson, its Director of Communications, will be leaving the Club at the end of January to take up the post of Communications Secretary to The Prince of Wales.
David Gill, Chief Executive of Manchester United, said:
“We are sorry to see Paddy go. Since he joined us three years ago he has worked hard to promote and protect Manchester United’s image, build relationships with fans, investors and other stakeholders, and develop a long-term communications strategy for the Club.
"We wish Paddy all the best in his new job, and will be seeking a suitable replacement in due course.”
