Not surprisingly Alan Green placed himself at the head of the ‘Traumatised of Toxteth’ brigade and there are calls this morning for the FA to take action.

From The Sun:

‘Gary Neville could be in trouble with the Football Association after running the length of the field to celebrate Rio Ferdinand's winner in front of Liverpool's fans at Old Trafford.

The Manchester United skipper was captured by television cameras grabbing his shirt and gesticulating towards Liverpool's supporters.

However, Neville had been the subject of abuse by the visiting fans throughout the game.

Brother Phil was on hand as a Sky pundit:

He said: "I think every time United beat Liverpool, my brother always does that. He loves Manchester United so much and that's the way he shows his emotions.”
