Head For Success At Old Trafford

Die hard fans no longer need to wait for match day to visit the Theatre of Dreams but can now visit Old Trafford to brush up on their maths and English skills.

Millions of people in England struggle with basic maths and literacy and the government's Heading for Success campaign has teamed up with Manchester United to offer free lessons to anyone over the age of 16. Forget memories of dull maths lessons at school because all courses are delivered in a football context where you will be writing match reports and working out transfer budgets.

Brushing up on your skills will not only make a difference to you with everyday tasks such as household budgeting, or reading to your children, but it could also make a huge difference at work. It's proven that people who improve their skills have better employment prospects and research suggests they could earn an extra £50,000 over their lifetime.

To find out about the free courses call 0161 952 4699. Thirty other football clubs across the country are also involved in the project - you can find out more about them by calling 0800 100 900 and mentioning Heading for Success.
